Lemongrass

Lemongrass is the same 'gavti chaha' many Indian homes add to tea. It has a fresh, lemony smell and taste.

Also known as: Gavti Chaha, Hari Chai Patti

How to use: Add to tea and kadha, Thai green or red curry, tom yum soup, clear soups and stir-fries. Crush the stalk lightly before adding.

Good to know: Gives a refreshing lemon aroma without any sourness.

How to store: Wrap in a cloth and keep in the fridge for up to 2 weeks, or freeze for longer.
